Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arvo Penaali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penaali comes into the arena with Immortal Technique - Obnoxius blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Arvo Penaali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christopher Binse!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Binse throws a nice outside leg kick.

Penaali gets a takedown into half guard.

Binse utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Penaali throws a big right hand that misses.
Binse wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Binse wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Binse keeping moving, preventing Penaali from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Penaali shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Binse napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Binse tries to bench press Penaali off him but Penaali keeps the position.
Penaali creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Binse sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Binse is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Penaali looks up at the clock and then as Binse takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Penaali smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Check out the look on Penaali's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Binse manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Penaali seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Binse bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Penaali's head.

Binse swings for the body but Penaali moves out of range.

Penaali throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Penaali shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Binse sprawls well. Binse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Penaali gets slowly back to his feet.

Binse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Penaali manages to avoid it.
Penaali seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Binse makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Binse lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Penaali backwards.

Christopher Binse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I think Binse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
