Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexis Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Torres has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Carpenter is looking to counter with head kicks.
Carpenter throws a sloppy head kick and Torres moves out of range easily.
Torres moves out of range of the body kick.

Torres feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Torres slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Carpenter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Torres on the ground.
Torres's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Torres stands and throws Carpenter's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torres wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carpenter, who protects the arm well.

Torres takes a little break here. Carpenter wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Torres is chipping away with strikes.
Carpenter is looking for a sweep.
Torres tries to advance to mount but can't.
Carpenter can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Torres advances to full mount.
Torres controlling from mount.

Torres is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Carpenter can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Torres is landing with some decent strikes but Carpenter is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Carpenter is rocked!

Carpenter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Torres.
Oh Carpenter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Torres looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Carpenter covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
