The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alex has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mcmillan.

Alex drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mcmillan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alex is controlling him.
Mcmillan looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcmillan, not yet.

Alex stops Mcmillan from standing up.

Alex is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcmillan is staying active underneath Alex, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
