Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rupert Ritzik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Fenix!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritzik takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fenix swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ritzik, right into the meat.
Nice cross by Fenix.
Ritzik just misses with a punch to the body.
Fenix tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ritzik was well out of range. Poor timing from Fenix.
Jab, jab by Fenix - just one landing.
Ritzik throws a leg kick but Fenix moved away.
A cross from Ritzik lands.
Ritzik slips a jab and a cross from Fenix.
Fenix has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ritzik.
Fenix throws a wild body kick that Ritzik sees coming a mile off.
Ritzik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fenix has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Fenix dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fenix blocks a head kick by Ritzik.
Ritzik bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ritzik throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
As Ritzik backs off Fenix throws a huge counter combo but Ritzik manages to avoid it all.
Good work by Fenix as he checks the leg kick.

Ritzik walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fenix.
Fenix cracks a nice hook into Ritzik's ribs.
Ritzik listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Marcus Fenix has been cut.
Fenix tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ritzik was well out of range. Poor timing from Fenix.

Ritzik cracks Fenix with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ritzik has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fenix to stand back up!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice uppercut there from Fenix.
Fenix jabs at Ritzik's body.
Ritzik takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ritzik looks to score with a jab to the body but Fenix is just out of range.
Fenix throws a body punch but Ritzik moves out of range.
Ritzik misses with a few strikes there.
A jab from Fenix does it's job there.
Ritzik takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ritzik ducks under a wild hook from Fenix.
Ritzik is looking to counter punch.
Ritzik throws a series of punches but Fenix avoids them all with ease.
Fenix doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fenix turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ritzik. Fenix does a little dance to reset his feet.

Ritzik cracks Fenix with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Fenix looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ritzik finish him?

Ritzik misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fenix.
Fenix is still on wobbly legs! Can Ritzik finish him?
Ritzik throws a head kick that misses
letting Fenix counter with a right hand.
Fenix seems to have recovered his senses.
Fenix throws a leg kick which misses Ritzik's front leg but catches the back leg as Ritzik tries to avoid it.
Fenix lunges at Ritzik with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ritzik's hand.
Ritzik swings for the body but Fenix moves out of range.
Fenix scoring well with a low kick there.
Fenix thuds his right hand into Ritzik's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ritzik sends Fenix crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ritzik is motioning to the referee to let Fenix up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fenix has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Ritzik looks to score with a jab to the body but Fenix is just out of range.
Ritzik keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ritzik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fenix manages to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fenix closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ritzik escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ritzik takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ritzik is looking to wear down Fenix with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ritzik swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fenix.
Fenix tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ritzik paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ritzik appears to be looking for a big counter.

Fenix gets a takedown into half guard.
Ritzik is looking for a sweep. Fenix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fenix is keen to just control but Ritzik is a slippery customer.
Fenix thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fenix thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ritzik's head.
Fenix seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Fenix is looking to stall here but Ritzik recovers full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ritzik has Fenix pulled in close to control his posture.
Fenix in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Fenix scoring with some ground and pound.
Fenix working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fenix pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ritzik is keeping the position for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ritzik pushes Fenix off and scrambles back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rupert Ritzik will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Marcus Fenix's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ritzik tests Fenix's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fenix throws a series of punches but Ritzik moves out of range.
Fenix ducks under a wild hook from Ritzik.
Fenix checks the leg kick.
Fenix scores with a nice body kick.

Ritzik lands a big head kick that sends Fenix tumbling to the mat! Ritzik takes a step backwards and waves Fenix back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ritzik lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fenix at a distance.
Fenix missing with a left hand there. Ritzik was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fenix cracks a nice hook into Ritzik's ribs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ritzik. Fenix does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fenix connects with a jab.
Fenix misses with a hook. Ritzik ducked under it nicely.

Ritzik lands a big right hand that sends Fenix crashing to the mat! Ritzik stays standing though and waves Fenix back to his feet!


That has opened up Marcus Fenix's cut even more.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Ritzik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fenix lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ritzik's sensitive parts.
Fenix misses with a body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ritzik, right into the meat.
Ritzik wobbles Fenix with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Ritzik dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Fenix to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rupert Ritzik!
Rupert Ritzik took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Bushido Fightwear for their support in the buildup to the fight.
