Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arlen Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hennry Aquino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hennry Aquino acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aquino shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Carson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Aquino keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Aquino is pressed up against the cage. Carson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Aquino down to the mat. Aquino avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carson enables Aquino to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Aquino wants to get up but he can't break Carson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Carson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Aquino throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Aquino is in Carson's guard.

Carson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Aquino is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Carson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Aquino can't fight it off and eventually Carson manages to take the fight to the floor. Aquino looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Carson stands up and waves to Aquino to follow him.

Carson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aquino can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Carson wants to sweep here but Aquino controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Aquino fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carson to the ground. Aquino is now in Carson's guard.

Carson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Aquino for as long as he can get away with.

Carson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've been informed that Aquino has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
