The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astoria misses with a wild combination.
Astoria dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shogun. That did some damage!
Astoria throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Lyoto Shogun has been cut.
Shogun really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Astoria throws the kick towards the body but Shogun avoids it.
Shogun shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Astoria pinned against the cage. Astoria gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Shogun turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Astoria off and cradles Shogun's limp body as Astoria celebrates with his corner.
