Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, mark Dobinson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones catches Dobinson napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Dobinson to the canvas!
It looks like mark Dobinson has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dobinson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones is looking to stand up but Dobinson won't let him. Dobinson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dobinson trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dobinson has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up. Jones is stalling in the full guard. Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dobinson is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dobinson but Dobinson pushes him off and we're back to square one. A combination from Jones does no damage. Dobinson dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Dobinson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones lands a nice shot that snaps Dobinson's head back.
That has opened up mark Dobinson's cut even more. Dobinson closes the distance and clinches. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Dobinson has eaten all the pies! Dobinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dobinson swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dobinson pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Dobinson keeps him there for the moment. Jones wants to break the clinch but can't.

This has been an exciting period of action! Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dobinson has him pressed against the cage. Dobinson breaks the clinch.
Dobinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Dobinson won't allow it.
Jones lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dobinson or not.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to break free. Dobinson prevents Jones from breaking the clinch. Dobinson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones is trying to break free. Dobinson jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jones wanted to stand there but Dobinson had control of the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dobinson is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dobinson sitting in guard here, content to control. Dobinson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from. Dobinson wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Dobinson won't allow Jones to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on mark Dobinson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jones wants to stand but Dobinson is controlling his arm. Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Dobinson get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones works the jab nicely.
mark Dobinson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dobinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Dobinson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Dobinson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut. Dobinson takes one to the chin there. Jones misses with a double jab.

David Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Dobinson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dobinson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dobinson gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Dobinson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jones lands with a straight right. Dobinson didn't see that one coming. A combination from Jones does no damage. David Jones is winning the standup battle so far. Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dobinson counters with a big head kick but Jones shrugs it off. Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dobinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jones fails with the takedown. Donk. He shot from a bit too far out. David Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mark Dobinson. Nice shot by Jones. Jones throws a nice looking combination but Dobinson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dobinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position. Jones is pushing Dobinson's head away, looking to escape. Dobinson manages to hold on to the position though. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Dobinson needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there. Jones cracks Dobinson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Dobinson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dobinson wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Dobinson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Dobinson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Dobinson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jones trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Jones is trying to escape back to his feet but Dobinson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Dobinson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jones has escaped the position, nice work there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones misses with a two punch combination.

Dobinson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dobinson on the ground.

Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dobinson is controlling him. Dobinson trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dobinson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. mark Dobinson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! David Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dobinson.
And that's the end of the fight! mark Dobinson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
