Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Madeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Guidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Madeira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dick Guidal!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madeira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Guidal is trying to improve his position.
Guidal struggling a bit here.
Guidal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Madeira kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Guidal tries to buck Madeira off but Madeira is having none of it.
Guidal wants to control but Madeira postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guidal is looking to regain half guard here but Madeira keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Guidal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Madeira could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Guidal tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Guidal avoids a kick to the body.

Guidal darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Madeira is trying to get back to full guard.
Guidal uses his free foot to push down on Madeira's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Madeira.

Guidal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guidal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Guidal swings around for an armbar but Madeira sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Guidal's guard.
Madeira postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Guidal is pulling down on Madeira's head. It's preventing any offense from Madeira, at least for the moment.

Guidal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Guidal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Madeira is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Guidal keeps control of the position for the meantime.
