Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kavan Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jenkins wants to improve his position but Kerr is controlling well.
Jenkins keeping control of the position.
Kerr with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kerr drops an elbow to the side of Jenkins's head.
Kerr slows the pace down in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins is trying to maintain the position but Kerr is very close to passing his half guard.
Kerr wants to pass to mount but Jenkins is defending the position.
Jenkins wants to get back to full guard.

Jenkins is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kerr scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jenkins manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kerr not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jenkins wants to sweep but no luck.
Kerr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jenkins has Kerr pulled in close to control his posture.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kerr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jenkins's guard.
Jenkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jenkins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jenkins is on top in guard.

Kerr is controlling Jenkins's posture.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jenkins stands and steps away. Kerr gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kerr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jenkins is trying to push Kerr off with his feet but Kerr grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Jenkins's ankles and Jenkins is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
