The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cortez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cortez shoots in but Roller avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cortez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Roller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cortez's calf.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Roller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Steam Roller has been cut.
Cortez drops Roller with a straight right hand, right on the button! Cortez follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
