Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Filippo Di Vaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Pol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filippo Di Vaio had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Di Vaio walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Di Vaio takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Di Vaio tries a head kick but it misses.
Di Vaio closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pol circles away.
Good standup being displayed there by Pol as he connects with a hook.
Pol fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pol throws a low kick but Di Vaio moves out of range easily.
Pol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Di Vaio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Di Vaio lands with an overhand left.
Di Vaio ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Di Vaio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pol is fending him off so far but Di Vaio persists. Nope, Pol circles away and we're back to standing.
It seemed like Pol was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Pol stuns Di Vaio with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Di Vaio shoots in but no luck this time.

Di Vaio misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pol tries to throw a body punch but Di Vaio avoids it by throwing Pol back against the cage.

Di Vaio is trying to drag Pol to the mat but Pol just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Pol has Di Vaio pressed against the cage, preventing Di Vaio from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pol unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Di Vaio! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Pol is unloading with more strikes now! Di Vaio drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
