PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Jinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Toilfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toilfer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jinx sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Toilfer shoots for a takedown but Jinx saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Toilfer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jinx's waist but Jinx gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Toilfer off to one side.
Toilfer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jinx as he avoids it easily.
Jinx dives in and grabs Toilfer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Toilfer pushes down on Jinx's head and hops out.
Toilfer shoots for a double leg takedown but Jinx sprawls well. He's pushed Toilfer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Toilfer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jinx as he jumps to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Toilfer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Jinx.
