Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viher Peukku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Severn comes into the arena with Pride FC Theme blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Severn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viher Peukku!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Peukku throws a chopping leg kick but Severn manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Severn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peukku pinned against the cage. Peukku gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Severn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Severn is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Peukku still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Peukku has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Severn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peukku's waist but Peukku gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Severn off to one side.
