Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Humphrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Aliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali Aliev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aliev closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Humphrey did well to prevent Aliev getting side control.
Well, if Aliev is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aliev sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Humphrey's guard.

Humphrey is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Aliev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Humphrey's head.

Aliev is trying to work for a kimura but Humphrey is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Humphrey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Aliev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Humphrey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Humphrey lands in his opponent's guard.
Aliev wants to sweep but no luck.
Humphrey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aliev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aliev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Humphrey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Humphrey tries to sprawl but Aliev drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Aliev jumps guard and drags Humphrey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Humphrey has control of Aliev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Aliev regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Aliev manages to pull guard.
Humphrey throwing strikes from guard but Aliev blocks nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Aliev throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Humphrey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aliev swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Aliev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Humphrey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Aliev is staying active underneath Humphrey, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
