Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miles Larson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Carson!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carson clinches with his opponent.
Larson is trying to pull guard but Carson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Carson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Larson really is a fat lump.
Carson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Larson has passed into side control.
Carson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Carson wants to control but Larson postures up.
Carson isn't going anywhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Carson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Carson wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carson is looking to improve his position.

Carson is defending against the submission attempts here by Larson.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carson wants to control but Larson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Carson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Larson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Carson as Larson shoots in.
Carson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Carson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Larson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Larson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carson circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miles Larson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Larson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Larson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Larson is breathing heavily.
Carson stays in close to Larson's body and controls the position.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Larson is wriggling around but Carson manages to pass to half guard.

Let's hope that Carson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Carson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carson stalling.
Larson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carson lands a nice short elbow.
Larson wants to stand back up but Carson manages to pass into side control.
Larson is trying to buck Carson off.
Carson advances to mount.

Carson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Larson has worked his arm free - good work by Larson!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee asks Carson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carson prefers to stall for the moment though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carson blocks the body kick.
Larson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Carson rushes Larson and presses him up against the cage.

Carson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Carson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Larson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Larson is looking to stand up but Carson isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Larson looking for subs off his back but Carson has passed one foot through into half guard.
Still in half guard, Carson seems content to control.

Larson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Carson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Carson wants to control from the top but Larson keeps moving.

Larson has his foot on Carson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carson works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carson lands a couple of elbows.
Larson striking off his back but it's not causing Carson any problems.
Carson tries to stand but Larson is controlling from the bottom.

Carson drops back looking for a leg! Larson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Larson manages to kick Carson off! Carson jumps back into Larson's guard.

Carson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Larson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carson is aware though and is defending well.
Larson wants to improve his position but instead Carson has moved into half guard.
Larson is trying to stand.
Carson is nestled in close to Larson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Carson lands strikes from half guard.
Larson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Carson jumps into side control!

Carson is chipping away with strikes.
Carson advances to mount.
Carson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Carson.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Larson is trying to reverse the position but instead Carson has taken his back - oops!

Carson looking to break Larson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Larson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Carson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Larson trying to get back to his feet but Carson is in full control for now.

Carson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Larson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Larson tries to escape but Carson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Carson.
Carson controlling the position well here. Larson rolled but Carson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Carson is working the ground and pound. Can Larson escape?

Jay Carson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Carson closes the distance and clinches up with Larson, looking for a takedown. Carson pushes Larson against the cage but Larson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Larson. Those never looked like landing.
Miles Larson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carson shoots in and drives through. Larson sprawls well.
Larson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Larson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carson checks a leg kick nicely.
Carson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Larson but Larson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Larson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Miles Larson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Carson.

Larson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Larson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carson is just riding it out for now. Larson eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carson looking for a sweep. Not yet Carson, not yet.
Carson has his hands on Larson's head, controlling the position.
Carson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Larson manages to get himself to full guard.

Yet more stalling tactics from Carson.

Larson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carson dives into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Carson tries to stand but Larson is controlling his head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Carson moves into range and clinches up with Larson.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Carson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Larson is trying to break free.
Miles Larson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jay Carson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Carson pulls guard.
Larson throws an elbow that misses. Carson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Larson's guard. Nice move by Carson!

And that's the end of the fight!
Jay Carson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Carson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
