Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zerano Rdj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Finkler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finkler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rdj is trying to defend but Finkler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Finkler trying to work for an americana but Rdj has managed to regain full guard.
Rdj looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Finkler trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rdj's guard.

Rdj has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Finkler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rdj looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Finkler puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rdj is looking for a sweep. Finkler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Finkler tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rdj controls his leg.

Finkler escapes and gets back to his feet.
Finkler stuffs the takedown attempt from Rdj. Rdj gets slowly back to his feet.

and Finkler counters by clinching up.

Finkler has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rdj is trying to keep an underhook but Finkler manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Finkler seems content to control.

Finkler is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Finkler is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rdj sees it coming and defends easily.

Finkler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rdj has managed to free his arm - good work.

Finkler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Finkler is controlling the pace.
Rdj knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Finkler on the ground.
Let's hope that Finkler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Rdj wants to improve his position but Finkler is controlling well.
Finkler is nestled in close to Rdj, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finkler is working for a kimura but Rdj is defending it quite comfortably.
Rdj is staying active underneath Finkler, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rdj wants to sweep but Finkler has passed to side control!
