The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards scores with a leg kick.
Bryant looks for a takedown but Richards sprawls well.
Richards slaps away a takedown attempt from Bryant, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bryant shoots in looking for a takedown but Richards manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bryant's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Desean Bryant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Richards throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Richards turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Richards stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Richards wants it to stay on the feet.
Bryant moves in looking to clinch but Richards pushes him off.

Bryant changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richards tries to avoid it but Bryant manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richards to the ground. Richards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Richards steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bryant.

Richards takes the fight into the clinch.
Richards scores with a nice hook to the head.
We've been informed that Richards has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A nice right hand lands inside from Richards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bryant changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Richards fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bryant looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bryant closes the distance and clinches up with Richards, looking for a takedown. Bryant pushes Richards against the cage but Richards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Richards! But no joy.

Oh Bryant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bryant is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Richards just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Bryant has gone limp and this one is over!

A relieved looking Sean Richards thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
