The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokolov throws a hook to the side of Goldberg's head but Goldberg sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sokolov throws a right hand that Goldberg ducks under and follows up with a left that Goldberg also avoids with ease.
Goldberg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Goldberg tries to close the distance and clinch but Sokolov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Vitaly Sokolov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Goldberg.

Goldberg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sokolov pinned against the cage. Sokolov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
