Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fyodor Pending (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conan Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conan Balboa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa misses with a low kick.
Pending stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Balboa.
Pending has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Balboa.
Balboa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Balboa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pending circles away.
Balboa throws a leg kick but Pending sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Pending tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Balboa manages to circle out of the way.

and Pending decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Balboa's guard.
Pending wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving.
Pending won't allow Balboa to get back to his feet.
Balboa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Balboa is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Pending not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Pending might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Balboa wants to get back to his feet but Pending is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Balboa swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Pending wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Balboa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pending checks it well.
We've been hearing reports that Pending has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Pending checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Pending is looking to counter the offense by Balboa and move into the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pending on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Balboa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pending seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Pending could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Balboa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pending sprawls well. Pending wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Balboa gets slowly back to his feet.

and Pending counters with a shoot takedown. Balboa fights it but they end up in guard.
Balboa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pending is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pending drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Balboa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pending has Balboa in his guard.

Pending has a closed guard, preventing Balboa from standing up.

Balboa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pending to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Balboa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pending pulls down on the head and he's put Balboa to sleep! This one is all over!
