Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Murphy MacManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Paddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacManus comes to the cage accompanied by The Blood of Cu Chulainn . The crowd seem to be enjoying Paddy's choice of entrance music: The Battering Ram - Come Out & Fight. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacManus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

MacManus pushes Paddy back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

MacManus stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

MacManus lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paddy backwards.

MacManus lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
MacManus is pressed up against the cage. Paddy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag MacManus down to the mat. MacManus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
MacManus turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
MacManus fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
MacManus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Paddy.
MacManus throws a leg kick which misses Paddy's front leg but catches the back leg as Paddy tries to avoid it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

MacManus connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Paddy momentarily.

MacManus lands a big head kick that sends Paddy tumbling to the mat! MacManus takes a step backwards and waves Paddy back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Mike Paddy has been cut.

MacManus cracks Paddy with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. MacManus has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Paddy to stand back up!

Paddy is rocked!
MacManus buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Paddy is still on wobbly legs! Can MacManus finish him?

MacManus closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Paddy! MacManus dives in looking to finish! Paddy is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Murphy MacManus!
A relieved looking Murphy MacManus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
