Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauricio Berns!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berns on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mauricio Berns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Berns misses with a combination
and Duim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Berns misses with a takedown
and Duim counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Berns takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Duim counters with a thumping low kick.
Duim stuns Berns with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Duim counters with a nice uppercut.
Danny Duim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mauricio Berns.
Duim lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Duim comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Duim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Duim counters with a thumping low kick.

and Duim counters with a good low kick that Berns was not able to check.

Berns with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Duim to score with a decent uppercut.

Berns takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Danny Duim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

letting Duim counter with a right hand.
Duim lunges at Berns with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Berns's hand.
Berns misses with a takedown attempt
and Duim makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duim circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Berns to the canvas! Berns doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Duim keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
