Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Kawulski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dead might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Better off Dead. Kawulski has chosen DMX - Slippin' as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Better Dead has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aleksander Kawulski!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dead fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dead looks to score with a jab to the body but Kawulski is just out of range.
Kawulski lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kawulski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dead manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kawulski keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes.
I was talking to Dead's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dead is trying to break the clinch but Kawulski is controlling him.
Kawulski takes a knee to the side of the body.
Dead lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kawulski backwards.
Dead scores with a shot to the side of Kawulski's head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Dead.
Dead lands with a light punch inside.

Dead blocking some punches.
Dead misses with a punch to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kawulski has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kawulski misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dead wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Dead breaks from the clinch.
Dead lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dead misses with an uppercut. Kawulski saw that one coming.
Dead looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Dead backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Kawulski's temple! It sends Kawulski violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Dead celebrates and the doctors try to help Kawulski!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Better Dead!
