The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimbardo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Zimbardo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fernandes's sensitive parts.
Zimbardo misses with a few strikes there.
A jab lands there for Zimbardo.
Fernandes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fernandes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zimbardo counters with a left and a right that stings Fernandes.
Zimbardo scores with a jab to the head.
Zimbardo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fernandes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zimbardo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fernandes is rocked!

Zimbardo lands a big right hand that sends Fernandes crashing to the mat! Zimbardo stays standing though and waves Fernandes back to his feet!
Oh Fernandes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fernandes seems to have got his legs back now.

Zimbardo lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fernandes takes a step back to recover.
Fernandes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
An inside leg kick lands from Zimbardo.
Zimbardo lands a head kick. Fernandes smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Zimbardo throws a front kick that sends Fernandes stumbling back into the cage.
Fernandes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Zimbardo connects with a leg kick. Fernandes looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zimbardo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zimbardo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zimbardo throws a head kick that half lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fernandes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fernandes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zimbardo avoids it really well and circles away.
Zimbardo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fernandes in his tracks.
Fernandes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zimbardo.
Zimbardo connects with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zimbardo follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Zimbardo cracks Fernandes with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zimbardo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fernandes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Zimbardo throws a quick head kick that knocks Fernandes silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Zimbardo is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
