The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azzizz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Merrill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azzizz somewhat.
Merrill misses with a hook
and Azzizz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Merrill misses with a hook to the body
and Azzizz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Azzizz has managed to clinch.
Merrill is pushing Azzizz up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Merrill has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Azzizz clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Merrill has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Azzizz! Can he survive? No! He's out! Merrill gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
