Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roger Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Whip Whop!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Machado enables Whop to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Machado manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Whop trying to control the position from guard on top but Machado is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Whop is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Machado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whop doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Machado is tightening it up a little... Whop has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Whop reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Whop taps out! Nice BJJ there by Machado!
