Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Monza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Mackenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Monza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artur Mackenzie!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monza scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Mackenzie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Mackenzie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Monza manages to avoid it.

Monza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mackenzie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Monza is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mackenzie.

Monza is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mackenzie has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mackenzie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Monza's best efforts.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Monza has managed to clinch.
Mackenzie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Monza smiles and moves away.

Monza is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mackenzie can do to turn this around?

Hector Monza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Mackenzie.

Monza jumps into guard, dragging Mackenzie to the mat.
Mackenzie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Monza swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mackenzie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Monza's guard.

Mackenzie wants to control but Monza is keeping him busy.

Mackenzie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Monza feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mackenzies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Monza throws a sloppy head kick and Mackenzie moves out of range easily.

Mackenzie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Monza did well to prevent Mackenzie getting side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
