The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peas shoots for a double leg takedown but Stock sprawls well. He's pushed Peas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Juan Peas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peas shoots and misses
and Stock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Stock fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peas sprawls well initially but Stock persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stock looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Peas looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Stock is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Peas sees it coming and defends easily.

Stock is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Peas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Stock wants to pass to mount but Peas is defending the position.

Stock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Stock goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Peas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stock but great work by Peas.
Stock gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Peas thows a huge punch but Stock dodges it nicely.
Stock on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Stock is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Peas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Peas's back!
Peas tries to escape but Stock has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Peas is still trying to improve position.

Stock goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Peas escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Stock slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Stock wants to sweep but no luck.
Stock looking to control.

Stock is looking to cinch up a triangle. Peas throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Stock's body to avoid the submission. Stock has instead reached around Peas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Stock arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
