Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Monkey Luffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ardian Kurniawan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurniawan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Luffy is fending him off so far but Kurniawan persists. Nope, Luffy circles away and we're back to standing.
Ardian Kurniawan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kurniawan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Luffy swivels and escapes.

Luffy clinches up with Kurniawan and pushes him back against the cage.
Luffy is stalling here.
Kurniawan is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Luffy is defending well.
Monkey Luffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ardian Kurniawan.
Luffy gets underhooks to prevent Kurniawan's takedown attempt.
Kurniawan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Kurniawan has clasped his hands together around Luffy's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kurniawan is trying to get an arm triangle but Luffy is defending well.
Luffy tries to bench press Kurniawan off him but Kurniawan keeps the position.

Luffy pushes Kurniawan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kurniawan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luffy gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Kurniawan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Luffy has his hands clasped together but Kurniawan breaks the hold and Luffy is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Kurniawan!
