Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlous Lejonet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Mera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlous Lejonet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Jose Mera!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lejonet defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mera.
Lejonet takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mera.
Mera avoids the head kick by Lejonet.
Mera changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Mera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lejonet tries to avoid it but Mera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lejonet to the ground. Lejonet escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carlous Lejonet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Mera.

Lejonet tries to keep at a distance but Mera has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lejonet struggles to land a body shot inside as Mera controls his hands.
Lejonet doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lejonet trying to control the position but instead, Mera has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lejonet into the cage.
Lejonet throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mera tries to pull guard but Lejonet holds him up against the cage and eventually Mera drops back down to his feet.
Mera is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lejonet is defending well.
Mera is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Mera jumps guard and drags Lejonet to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mera wants to sweep here but Lejonet controlling him for the moment.
Mera is still trying to improve position.

Mera throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lejonet uses it to pass to side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mera sneaks back into half guard.
Lejonet perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mera makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mera.
Lejonet showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Lejonet won't allow Mera to sweep him here.
Mera looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lejonet puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Lejonet is trying to control the action in half guard but Mera is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mera manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Mera looking for a sweep. Not yet Mera, not yet.

Mera has his foot on Lejonet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lejonet works his way back into a safe position though.

Mera manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lejonet's best efforts.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mera is pressing down on Lejonet's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Mera dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mera drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mera stands and throws Lejonet's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mera tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lejonet's legs.

Mera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mera working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Lejonet is not content to let Mera control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mera goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lejonet has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mera but great work by Lejonet.

Mera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mera is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lejonet's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lejonet's back!

Mera is working for a rear naked choke. Lejonet is not defending it well and Mera has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Lejonet refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Lejonet's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jose Mera!
Our winner, Jose Mera, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
