Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Canelo Jhonson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico McQueen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico McQueen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQueen throws a leg kick which misses Jhonson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jhonson tries to avoid it.
Jhonson scores with a shot to the body.
Jhonson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McQueen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McQueen misses with a hook to the body
and Jhonson counters with a nice uppercut.
Jhonson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jhonson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McQueen can pounce on him.

Jhonson moves into the clinch successfully.
Jhonson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McQueen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jhonson is breathing heavily.
McQueen goes for a takedown attempt but Jhonson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

McQueen shoots in and bounces Jhonson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Jhonson wants to stand and escape but McQueen is having none of it.
McQueen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jhonson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jhonson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McQueen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jhonson.

Jhonson takes the fight into the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

McQueen has hold of one of Jhonson's legs. Jhonson is fighting the takedown attempt but McQueen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Jhonson wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jhonson is on top in guard.

McQueen is looking to stand up but Jhonson isn't so interested in that idea.

Jhonson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McQueen striking off his back but it's not causing Jhonson any problems.
McQueen is trying to control the position but Jhonson postures up.
Jhonson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McQueen wants to sweep here but Jhonson controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McQueen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McQueen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jhonson's head.

McQueen is taking a breather. Jhonson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jhonson has hold of McQueen's hands but McQueen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

McQueen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jhonson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McQueen.
Jhonson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McQueen lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McQueen gets to his feet. Jhonson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
McQueen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jhonson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

McQueen wants to control from the top but Jhonson keeps moving.

Jhonson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McQueen!

Jhonson is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. McQueen is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. McQueen flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jhonson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind McQueen and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jhonson slips an arm under McQueen chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jhonson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jhonson is squeezing on McQueen like an anaconda would it's prey. McQueen fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
