Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Connor Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Hyperion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hyperion's waist but Hyperion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castillo off to one side.
Alexander Hyperion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Castillo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Castillo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Castillo drops back looking for a leg! Hyperion is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hyperion manages to kick Castillo off! Castillo jumps back into Hyperion's guard.

Hyperion's coach down at Books af Ra was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hyperion's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
