The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Derossi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Taylor is looking to improve his position.
Derossi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Taylor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Taylor is pressing down on Derossi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Derossi won't allow Taylor to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor controls Derossi momentarily but Derossi frees himself.
Derossi postures up in Taylor's guard and throws a big left but Taylor blocks it.

Taylor looking for a triangle here. Derossi is fighting it but it looks tight! Taylor pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Derossi is tapping out - this one is all over!
