Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Alan Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Roufus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roufus tries to clinch up but Simmons circles away and keeps his distance.
And Simmons counters with a quick kick to the body but Roufus blocks it.
Good leg kick by Simmons there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Roufus steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Simmons. That one must have hurt.
Roufus is looking to chop away at Simmons's legs.
Simmons thinks about countering with a body kick.
Roufus is looking to clinch but Simmons is avoiding it.
Simmons clobbers Roufus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Duke Roufus has been cut.
Simmons wants to land a leg kick but Roufus is out of range.
Roufus misses with a head kick.
Duke Roufus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simmons avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Roufus seems to have recovered his senses.

Simmons creates a bit of distance and cracks Roufus with a big uppercut! Roufus goes down! The referee pushes Simmons away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Roufus make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Simmons takes it!
