Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Ruffarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rufus Ruffarino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshi Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruffarino shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Suzuki as he jumps to the side.

Suzuki can't do much from the bottom here.
Ruffarino wants to stand but Suzuki is controlling his arm.
We've been hearing good reports from Ruffarino's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Suzuki is looking to regain half guard here but Ruffarino keeps moving and retains side control.

Suzuki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ruffarino gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Suzuki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ruffarino is aware though and is defending well.

Suzuki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ruffarino doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ruffarino manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Suzuki takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Suzuki in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ruffarino tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Suzuki!
