Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lachie Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem feat. Nate Dogg - Till I Collapse. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lachie Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Hansen.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense.
Lee half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hansen misses with a takedown

and Lee counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Hansen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hansen is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lee with a body shot.

Lee moves into the clinch successfully.
Hansen lands with a light punch inside.
Hansen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hansen takes a shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jason Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lachie Hansen.

Hansen's coach down at Beast Bar was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hansen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Lee digs a right hand underneath Hansen's ribcage. Hansen let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Hansen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!
Lee throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hansen throws a counter combo.
Hansen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lee avoids the head kick by Hansen.
Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Hansen.
Hansen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
Lee throwing a counter right hand but Hansen manages to avoid it.

Lee pushes Hansen up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lee takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Lee takes the fight into the clinch.
Lee doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lee tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hansen avoids a wild elbow strike from Lee.
Lee pushes off an throws an elbow but Hansen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Hansen managing to block the knees to the body from Lee.
Hansen tries to pull guard but Lee won't allow it.

Lee is pushing Hansen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Lee swings wildly with an uppercut but Hansen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hansen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lee pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Knees in the clinch landing for Lee.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hansen can't break the clinch.
Lee lands a body shot.
Lee misses with a body punch.
Lee creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hansen's defenses.

Lee lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hansen.
Hansen takes an elbow to the temple.

Hansen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hansen off to one side.

Lee digs a right hand into Hansen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hansen's gas tank.

Hansen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Lee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Lee.
Hansen takes a shot to the head.
Lee lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Hansen jumps guard but Lee stands there with Hansen around his waist. Hansen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hansen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Hansen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lee throws a lazy right hand but Hansen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hansen wants to counter with a clinch but Lee pushes him away.
Hansen shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Hansen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hansen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hansen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lee has managed to get both his arms back between Hansen's legs - danger averted.
Lee is pushing down on Hansen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hansen is fighting to maintain full guard but Lee has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lee winds up and cracks Hansen with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hansen wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
Hansen is staying active underneath Lee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Lee stands up and beckons Hansen to join him on the feet.

Hansen is trying to maintain a safe position but Lee gets an underhook and turns Hansen into the cage.
