The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutherland doesn't manage to clinch there - The Malkind circles away.
Sutherland looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The Malkind tries to move into range but Sutherland moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The Malkind takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The Malkind shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sutherland but Sutherland pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A combination from Sutherland does no damage.
Sutherland stuffs the takedown attempt from The Malkind. The Malkind gets slowly back to his feet.
The Malkind shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Craig Sutherland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel The Malkind.
The Malkind bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sutherland's head backwards.
The Malkind tries to close the distance and clinch but Sutherland swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sutherland will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The Malkind fails with the takedown.

The Malkind drops Sutherland with a nice combination! The Malkind dives into Sutherland's guard, looking to finish!

The Malkind seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The Malkind is working for a kimura but Sutherland is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
