The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrett slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Garrett displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Garrett tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
And Jones tries to counter it with a takedown but Garrett pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Jones darts in and clinches Garrett up against the cage.
Jones scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Jeff Garrett has been cut.
Jones lands a nice knee to the body.

Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Garrett is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Garrett is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Garrett avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Garrett defends it well.

Jones seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Garrett has recovered full guard.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
