Robert Piotrowski struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamatso just misses with a punch to the body.
Piotrowski shoots for a double leg takedown but Tamatso sprawls well. He's pushed Piotrowski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tamatso takes a swing at Piotrowski's ribcage but misses.
Piotrowski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tamatso is fending him off so far but Piotrowski persists. Nope, Tamatso circles away and we're back to standing.

Oooh a lovely combination from Tamatso sends Piotrowski down but not out. Tamatso dives into side control looking to finish.

Tamatso manages to reverse the position and now he's in Piotrowski's guard. Nice work there by Tamatso.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tsuyoshi Tamatso just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Tamatso tries a head kick but it misses.
Tamatso lands with a big left! Piotrowski is wobbled badly! Tamatso comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Piotrowski to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
