Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Costa comes to the cage accompanied by Stratovarius - Dreamweaver. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Costa but Costa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stevens keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stevens on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Costa clinches with his opponent.
Good body shot from Costa.
Stevens is trying to drag Costa to the mat but Costa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Stevens is looking to break free of the clinch but Costa has double underhooks.
Costa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Stevens.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevens has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Costa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jose Costa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Stevens.

Stevens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice shot lands for Costa.

Costa moves into the clinch.
Stevens avoiding damage as Costa throws knees to the body.
Stevens tries to break the clinch but Costa is controlling the position.
Costa digs a right hand underneath Stevens's ribcage. Stevens let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Costa lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Stevens.

Costa lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Stevens or not.
Stevens drops down looking for an ankle pick but Costa pulls his leg out and moves away.

Costa forces Stevens back against the cage and clinches.
Costa missing with knees to the body.
Costa gets underhooks to prevent Stevens's takedown attempt.
Stevens is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Costa pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Costa has clasped his hands together around Stevens's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Costa is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Stevens looks calm but he's in trouble here. Costa gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Stevens is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Costa lets go of the hold and Stevens can pop his arm back in it's socket.
