PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Sherbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragan Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sherbo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Boom Boom Out Go The Lights/ Pat Travers. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sherbo.
Sherbo misses with an uppercut.
A punch combination from Sherbo misses.
Sherbo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Law throws a combination. Sherbo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sherbo throws a body punch but Law moves out of range.
Sherbo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Law dives in and scores a takedown into Sherbo's guard.

My spies in Evolve Fight Team inform me that Law has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Sherbo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Law swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sherbo is pushing down on Law's leg trying to pass to half guard. Law is fighting to maintain full guard but Sherbo has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sherbo prevents Law from improving his position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Law is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sherbo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sherbo's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Law keeps control of the position as Sherbo tries to break free.
Law is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Sherbo up.
Sherbo prevents Law from getting a body triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sherbo is taking damage to the body and head.
Law is landing with strikes from the back.

Law has his arm under Sherbo's chin here. Game over son! Law squeezes tightly and Sherbo is forced to tap out!
