The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levero lands a body shot.

Heavy is looking for a kimura but Levero is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Heavy to get the leverage.

Levero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Heavy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Heavy fails with the takedown.

Heavy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Levero sprawls well initially but Heavy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Heavy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Heavy swings around for an armbar but Levero sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Heavy's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Levero works over Heavy with some ground and pound from guard.

Levero lands with a straight right. Heavy didn't see that one coming.
Hjalle Heavy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heavy avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Levero lands with a hook. Heavy tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Heavy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Levero!
