Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Meat Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aimo Pamaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loaf comes to the cage accompanied by Eat My Loaf. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Aimo Pamaus enters the cage!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aimo Pamaus!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loaf drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pamaus sprawls and moves away.

Loaf uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pamaus.

We've been hearing reports that Loaf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Pamaus jabs Loaf to the body, keeping him at a distance.

As Pamaus backs away, Loaf returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Loaf feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Loaf tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pamaus throws a solid leg kick but Loaf takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pamaus.

and Loaf counters with a shoot takedown. Pamaus fights it but they end up in guard.

Pamaus keeping moving, preventing Loaf from controlling successfully.

Loaf drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pamaus looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pamaus looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pamaus!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pamaus lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Loaf down.
Loaf parries the strikes from Pamaus easily there. Pamaus is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Loaf to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pamaus looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Loaf is trying to control Pamaus's posture but Pamaus avoids it.
Loaf takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Loaf is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Loaf fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pamaus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pamaus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Loaf can pounce on him.

Pamaus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Loaf if he has to take too many more of those.

Loaf takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pamaus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Loaf's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Loaf crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pamaus - the referee stops the clock and Loaf gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pamaus. Loaf manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Aimo Pamaus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pamaus is staying active underneath Loaf, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Loaf is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Loaf takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Loaf is trying to control. Pamaus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Loaf uses his free foot to push down on Pamaus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pamaus.
Pamaus wants to hold on but Loaf pushes him away.

As Meat Loaf got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: It's crazy thinking how now I'm holding two belts! I used to be wearing two belts when I started my career, I have come along way, and dropped a lot of pant sizes as well as dropped a lot of opponents. I'm so happy to be here today! Broken Halo Pride!'.
