These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Miles Monroe has been cut.
Paquette has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Monroe is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Monroe fails with the takedown.
Monroe shoots in but no luck this time.
Paquette misses with a looping left.
Paquette feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Monroes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Paquette scores with a punch to the head.

Monroe is rocked!
Paquette lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Monroe up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Paquette from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Monroe's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
