Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacks Sole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Doyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacks Sole!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sole throws a head kick that misses
and Doyle counters with a nice uppercut.
Jacks Sole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Sole misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Doyle misses the target.
Nice uppercut lands for Doyle. That snapped Sole's head back.
Sole listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Mickey Doyle has been cut.
Sole tries to land a front kick but Doyle steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Doyle throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sole counters with a thumping low kick.
Sole slips under a jab from Doyle.
Doyle moves out of range as Sole throws a body kick.
Doyle throws the left hand but Sole avoids the punch easily.
Sole walks into a straight right hand from Doyle.
Sole ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sole is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Doyle.
Doyle throwing a counter right hand but Sole manages to avoid it.
Sole throws the kick towards the body but Doyle avoids it.
Doyle throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Sole to counter with a crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sole lets loose with a powerful body kick. Doyle will feel that in the morning.
Doyle uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sole.
Doyle swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sole tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sole throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Doyle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sole throws a predictable looking body shot
and Doyle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Doyle swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sole.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sole.
Sole lands the left hand.
Nice body kick there by Sole.
Doyle slips a jab from Sole.
Sole pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sole throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Doyle checks a leg kick.
Sole will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sole shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doyle is trying to control the position but Sole postures up.
Sole stays in close to Doyle's body and controls the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sole throws a big right hand that misses.
Doyle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sole controls the pace.
Sole lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sole lands a couple of digs.
Sole controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sole works over Doyle with some ground and pound from guard.
Sole slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sole lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Doyle down.
Sole advances nicely into full mount.
Sole controlling his opponent.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sole lands a nice shot to the head.


Doyle is rocked!
Sole lands a big elbow - Doyle is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Doyle is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jacks Sole!
Jacks Sole thanked the fans post fight for their support.
In defeat, Mickey Doyle stepped up to the mic, saying 'You can beat me around but you won't get rid of me. I'll be dancing on my enemies' bones long after they've all eaten the dirt sandwich.'.
