Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Real Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimura Minamoyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Real Dragon looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Real Dragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimura Minamoyo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minamoyo throws a head kick that misses.
Minamoyo stuffs the takedown.

Dragon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Minamoyo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Dragon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dragon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Minamoyo is looking to stand up but Dragon isn't so interested in that idea.
Minamoyo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Dragon trying to control the position from guard on top but Minamoyo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dragon is breathing heavily.
Dragon wants to pass the guard but Minamoyo is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and Dragon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Minamoyo!

Dragon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Minamoyo has worked his arm free - good work by Minamoyo!
Minamoyo is looking for a sweep.
Minamoyo is trying to control Dragon's posture but Dragon avoids it.

Minamoyo is trying to get back to half guard.

Dragon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Minamoyo, who protects the arm well.
Dragon avoids the strikes from the bottom by Minamoyo.
Minamoyo wants to control but Dragon postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Dragon counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dragon.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Minamoyo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dragon blocks it with crossed arms.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Minamoyo distracts Dragon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Dragon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Minamoyo shoots in for a takedown but Dragon shows good takedown defense.
Real Dragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimura Minamoyo.
Dragon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Minamoyo pinned against the cage. Minamoyo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Dragon counters by moving into the clinch.
Minamoyo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Minamoyo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Dragon turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Real Dragon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Minamoyo wants to clinch

and Dragon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Minamoyo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dragon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Minamoyo is trying to control Dragon's posture but Dragon avoids it.
Dragon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Minamoyo keeps working.
Minamoyo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dragon has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Minamoyo is trying to control Dragon's posture but Dragon avoids it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Minamoyo throws a head kick but Dragon moves out of range.
Minamoyo tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Dragon moves into the clinch.

Dragon jumps into guard, dragging Minamoyo to the mat.

Dragon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Minamoyo uses it to pass to side control.
Minamoyo throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Minamoyo trying to control the action but Dragon is working from the bottom.
Dragon manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Minamoyo is tying to control. Dragon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dragon moves into full guard.

Dragon kicks Minamoyo off and gets to his feet.
Dragon plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Dragon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Dragon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dragon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Minamoyo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dragon is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minamoyo is trying to stand back up but Dragon is controlling him
Dragon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Dragon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Minamoyo is not content to let Dragon control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dragon wants to stand up but Minamoyo has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Minamoyo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dragon is controlling him.
Dragon wants to control from the top but Minamoyo keeps moving.
Dragon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Real Dragon dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Dragon stuffs the takedown attempt from Minamoyo. Minamoyo gets slowly back to his feet.

so Dragon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Minamoyo is trying to control the position but Dragon postures up.
Dragon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Dragon won't allow Minamoyo to sweep him here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Minamoyo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dragon controls the pace.

Dragon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Minamoyo is trying to control the position but Dragon postures up.
Dragon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Minamoyo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dragon manages to pass to side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Minamoyo is looking to improve his position.
Minamoyo is trying to control but can't.
Well, if Dragon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Real Dragon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Minamoyo is trying to control but can't.

Dragon is working for a submission of some sort.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Minamoyo clinches but Dragon breaks the clinch

and Dragon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dragon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Minamoyo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dragon is working away from the top position though.
Minamoyo tries to roll over but Dragon keeps him under control.
Dragon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Dragon is looking for a kimura but Minamoyo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dragon to get the leverage.
Kimura Minamoyo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Minamoyo is looking to improve his position.
Real Dragon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dragon wants to free his trapped foot but Minamoyo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

And that's the end of the fight!
Real Dragon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dragon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
