Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Tatarinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatarinov throws a leg kick which misses Mir's front leg but catches the back leg as Mir tries to avoid it.
Tatarinov tries to work over Mir's front leg with a kick but Mir checks it.
Tatarinov throws a front kick aimed at Mir's knee but Mir avoids it well.
Tatarinov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mir has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tatarinov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Mir counters with a nice uppercut.
Mir feints and then cracks Tatarinov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tatarinov down.
Mir's corner calls for a 1-2. Mir obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tatarinov. Mir does a little dance to reset his feet.

Mir connects with a leg kick. Tatarinov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tatarinov! But no joy.
Mir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tatarinov tries to land a front kick but Mir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mir uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tatarinov.
Tatarinov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Mir is rocked!

Mir walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Tatarinov swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
