And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julito Santos!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Long.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Santos enables Long to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Santos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Santos wants to stand and escape but Long is having none of it.
Long engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Long is in close to Santos's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Long passes Santos's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Long looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Long controlling the pace.
Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Long passes the guard and advances to mount!
Long lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Santos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Long scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Santos?
Long looking to control and managing it successfully.
Long has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Santos is trying desperately to improve position.
Santos looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Long throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Santos!
Long biding his time, looking for the opening.
Long really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Long lands punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Santos won't enjoy being in this position. Long looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Santos is tapping - it's over boys! Long picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sam Long!
Sam Long tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
