Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Le Dreu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Saint James!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James closes the distance looking to clinch
and Le Dreu counters with a nice low kick that buckles James's knee momentarily.
Le Dreu circles away from the clinch attempt
and Le Dreu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Le Dreu postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for James to stand up.
James tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Le Dreu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Le Dreu circles away from the clinch attempt.
James gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Le Dreu to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Le Dreu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Le Dreu slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from James.
James is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Le Dreu decides to stand and escape the position.
Le Dreu forces James back against the ropes and clinches.
Le Dreu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Le Dreu throws a one two combo.
James wants to clinch but Le Dreu slips to the side
and Le Dreu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
James fails with an attempt to clinch.
Le Dreu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
James is rocked!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Le Dreu drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Le Dreu seems to have locked his on tight now - James screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Le Dreu, as he picks up the win!
