Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rowan Atkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 23 - 2, fighting out of London, Steven Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rowan Atkinson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Walter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Atkinson avoids the head kick by Walter.
Walter throws a sloppy head kick

and Atkinson counters with a takedown into side control.
My spies in Kebab House inform me that Atkinson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Walter is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Atkinson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Atkinson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Walter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Walter is pushing Atkinson's head away, looking to escape. Atkinson manages to hold on to the position though.
You can see the frustration on Walter's face as Atkinson controls the position.
Atkinson tries to score with some ground and pound. Walter controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Walter parries the strikes from Atkinson easily there. Atkinson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Walter to escape.
Atkinson wants to control but Walter is keeping him busy.
Walter is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Atkinson is controlling him well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Walter is looking to clinch.
Atkinson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Walter defends it well.
Walter tries to clinch up but Atkinson circles away and keeps his distance.

Walter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Atkinson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Walter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Atkinson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Atkinson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Atkinson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Walter haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Rowan Atkinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Walter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Walter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Atkinson clobbers Walter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Atkinson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Walter sprawls well. Walter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Atkinson gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Rowan Atkinson has been cut.
Our sources have told us that Walter has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Walter goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Walter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Walter misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Atkinson.
Walter lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Walter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Atkinson throws a hook to the side of Walter's head but Walter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Atkinson just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromWalter.

Walter keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Steven Walter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
