Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Dinkledorff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ray Dinkledorff was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ray Dinkledorff!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinkledorff scores with a hook to the body. Combs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dinkledorff scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dinkledorff looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dinkledorff swats away the attempt to clinch by Combs.
Dinkledorff closes this distance looking for a takedown but Combs circles away.

It looks like Luis Combs has been cut.
Dinkledorff fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Combs looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dinkledorff lunges at Combs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Combs's hand.

Combs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dinkledorff is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dinkledorff is pressed up against the cage. Combs has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dinkledorff down to the mat. Dinkledorff avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dinkledorff misses with the combination.
Combs wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Dinkledorff throws a left that rocks Combs and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Dinkledorff dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Combs regain composure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dinkledorff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Combs, who protects the arm well.

It looked like Combs was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dinkledorff.
Dinkledorff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Combs sprawls well. Combs wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dinkledorff gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ray Dinkledorff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dinkledorff pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Combs tries desperately to hold on but Dinkledorff is relentless in his assault! As Combs receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Dinkledorff away and this one is in the books!
